By "maps" does it mean just the map and no shrines? If it's that then I have no issues with it..but the shrines would totally mess with teams. I think it will be fun to watch how people adjust, but it certainly shouldn't stay forever.

Damn. This sounds bad. I might have to log into Guild Wars sometime to see how bad it really is. I guess we'll see how badly ANET fails this time, too. Being excessively optimistic, they may even end up reverse failing! I'm not holding my breath.

Well, I doubt Shadow Meld can be viable on a monk, since it wastes their much needed elite slot. But if Recall was nerfed, would these maps work better in TA?

From what i've seen Anet never failed TILL NOW. OMG R U OUT OF UR MIIIIIINNNDDS ??? How can u put a HB map with capping shrines in TA ?? Did u just assumed every1 plays HB ? Well u're wrong, imo it's a failure to the game i could never play HBs !! Wtb new patch to change it back !!

WOW! this is by far the WORST thing ANET could have done...I mean leave HB to HB dont bring that wack crap into TA ! haha. I mean...im a Rank 7 glad...leave it to 4 on 4...screw all the running...and capping..thats what AB, HB and HA are for....if they leave this the same.....they wiill lose a LOT of high ranked TA people...I would know ive TAed with the highest ranked glads and have ALREADY pmed me saying its dookie and are going to stop....horrible up date....bring GLADIATOR EMOTES IMO !

You're forgetting that all you need to do is run FOUR MONKS!! Run something like 2 of these:
Recall, Shadow Meld/AoD, dark escape, mending touch, SoA/guardian, RoF, spirit bond, holy veil
While running standard HB ZB/recall monks for your other two guys. Now you have a ridiculous amount of teleporting around the map along with tons of defense, especially if you primarily operate in 2-person groups (1 ZB, 1 shadow meld).

Goodbye to any of the little remaining worth my glad title had left. If this goes through TA = officially dead.
This is beyond fail. A new word would have to be added to the English language in order to describe the amount of suck this update is.

This sucks hard. TA was awesome. It was a chance to just go one on one as a team and see who the better fighters were. Now we get to waste 10 minutes running around capping shrines and killing NPCs. Pve'rs already have hero battles, I really hope they don't start getting to infest TA. Why is putting hero battle maps in TA a terrible idea?
1) It takes WAY longer for the same award
2) It will promote holding builds, running and other retarded gimmicks (ie hyperdefensive builds) as well as a preference for running a build suited towards ONE of the game types (rather than balanced)
3) Getting into an RA match with terrible players (or only 3 players) will be even more painful now, seeing as you can't leave without punishment, and you have to WAIT until 20 kills (which can take forever)
4) If you happen to be way better than the other team, it will STILL take a ton of time, while you camp them repeatedly.
5) Hero battles are lame as hell. Gah.
I dunno about you guys, but TA is fun, and it should stay as the deathmatch/priest types... I know for a fact I won't even bother playing TA anymore if I have to deal with running around capping shrines. It's just boring and annoying as hell.

Well, after about 15 short matches in TA I only drew 2 HB maps. One of them took up most of the time and was insanely boring, but the 2nd was a blowout. You don't really need to alter your build at all, just change tactics. Have 3 people keep their focus on the more important shrines (Center, NPC shrine/Catapult), and one person go cap the other shrines. As of <b>right</b> now, most people aren't focusing on capping and teams that are dying more are winning.
Just by holding the shrines, my team was able to take out a team that would have otherwise beaten us. This would have been a little more fun if they did it during one of the weekend events (Such as this weekend's) to test, like they did with 6v6 HA awhile back.
I still don't like it.
